Our Story

    Pandemic Mommies was created in 2021 by Sha and Janet, who are besties, cousins, lawyers and mommies. Sha, mother of two, lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Janet, mother of one, resides in Washington, DC - USA, and they both share a lot of the same interests.

    During the pandemic, both Sha and Janet became mommies, and realized that being a mom during a pandemic can be challenging and very lonely at times. Connecting with fellow moms has become increasingly difficult during lockdown and children's play date’s seem to have become ancient history. By starting this blog, Sha and Janet hope to offer a platform to fellow pandemic mommies to connect and share experiences with each other across the border. Replacing the day-care/school yard parent talk.
